Sure to excite his avid fanbase, Elijah Wood has been confirmed to be starring in the "Lord of the Rings" followup "The Hobbit".
With the actor's rep confirming the news, the move comes after director Peter Jackson changed up the prequel film to be able to include Frodo despite the story taking place before the character's birth.
Wood previously stated that he'd be up to partake in the movie only if Jackson were able to artfully work his character into the story - which apparently was done in a way that passed his standards.
Of the situation, Elijah previously told MTV, "I would imagine that if he [Frodo] does exist, it'll make some sort of sense. Otherwise, I don't think they would do it. I certainly wouldn't want to do it. I don't want to have a whole character piece that doesn't really exist that they're cobbling together."
The 29-year-old added that he's confident "in whatever they're going to do in terms of bringing in any familiar characters back, just knowing their sense of upholding integrity."
